IEEE SPIT and WiE IEEE SPIT came together in the month of October to celebrate IEEE Day with joy and fervor. As a part of the celebrations ,two events were organized keeping in mind the IEEE values, namely: Logo Making and a Quiz Competition.
The logo making registrations began on the 6th of October and continued until 8th. The theme for the same was Advancing Technology & Engineering . Considering the theme of this Year’s IEEE day was Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow we decided to keep the logo along those lines. The response was good and we received quite a few innovative Logos. The top 3 were felicitated with cash prizes and certificates while The top 5 entries were posted on IEEE and Wie’s social media handles. In order to appreciate their efforts all participants were given participation certificates. The following Saturday, on 9th October a quiz on Indian Technology and Culture was conducted as a stress buster activity and at the same time increased the knowledge of participants regarding growth of Indian technology and culture. There were 5-6 registered teams that battled it out with their wits in order to gain the maximum points. The participants had participated individually or in teams of 2 or 3. The team leader of each team had to guess the answer whenever the turn for their team came. There were questions on famous Indian authors, artists, scientists, institutions, places, food etc.
There were MCQ and pictorial rounds. In the MCQ round the participants were given clues regarding the question and they had to guess from the given options
