On 25th January, Friday , SPIT stood witness to one of the best technical conventions Open Infra Meet Open Stack organised by IEEE-SPIT sponsored by GIT-hub.

IEEE-SPIT organized a workshop on Web-Development for 1st and 2nd year which was followed by competition on developing the website in the month of March.
Project Innovation Challenge
Convening the unorthodox inventors and problem solvers of today, IEEE, SPIT organized the Project Innovation Challenge from 8th – 18th October, 2018 which involved building of prototype by teams.

Aarambh
The folks at IEEE-SPIT welcomed the yet-to-blossom buds, the FYs with their exciting plethora of events, collectively known as IEEE Aarambh. The event was kick-started on 9th of August, a terrific Thursday for all the students present.
IEEE Day
On IEEE - Day on 1st of October, IEEE-SPIT organizes different workshops, competitions, discussions and talks in college for students to expose to different fields of technology.
IEEE Orientation
The orientation commenced with Prof.Dayanand Ambavade, Mentor and Prof.K.T. Talele, Chairman giving general details about IEEE as an International Organisation, its structure and various advantages which could be availed as a member of IEEE.
Amazon Web Service Talk
IEEE-SPIT organised a talk for the students on cloud computing and it's application in real world by the Amazon Web Services Certified Instructor for AWS Academy Mr. Pranav Phadke.
Monsoon Trek
IEEE-SPIT organizes A monsoon trek for SPIT students every year in the month of August as a refreshment and adventure leaving study pressure behind for a day.
Competitive Coding Workshop
To give the FEs a head start like no other. The workshop organised as a part of the celebration of IEEE day( October 2nd ) was hosted by one of our own seniors Tej Thakkar, who has ranked first in Mumbai in ACM ICPC 2017.
IEEE Extreme
IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members—advised and proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch—compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.
